Job Summary:

Synesis Consulting is seeking a dynamic, well-spoken and expert Safety Consultant to join us in serving our growing client list, as well as working towards expanding our client base through his/her exceptional knowledge and industry experience in safety. This full-time position is responsible for ensuring workplace safety and compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) standards. This position demands extensive travel, working across multiple sites or projects, providing strategic guidance, site supervision, conducting safety audits, developing training programs, and collaborating with management to improve the safety culture of our client's workplaces. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform regular Internal Audits to maintain safety compliance and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide expert consultancy services to client organizations, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of occupational health and safety regulations, factory acts, and rules, etc.
• Identify hazards, assess risks, and recommend appropriate control measures.
• Ensure strict adherence to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards and guide client safety personnel on Non-Conformance (NC) closure following all audits, managing reviews, or committee meetings.
• Develop and deliver training programs on how to conduct various safety meetings, BBS, Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan (EPRP), PPE Management, Housekeeping, SOP/JHA, and HIRA/Aspect-Impact calculation, etc.
• Develop and implement health and safety programs.
• Promote safety awareness and best practices.
• Develop safety protocols for various projects.
• Conduct thorough investigations and reporting of unsafe acts and conditions, near-misses, incidents, and accidents.
• Analyze injury data and produce meaningful reports and recommendations.
• Prepare detailed technical reports for management and regulatory agencies.
• Document the entire implementation process.
• Collaborate with project managers and supervisors to ensure safety measures are integrated into project planning.
• Monitor safety performance metrics and suggest improvements.
• Implement quality control measures related to safety protocols.
• Work independently to provide on-site Health and Safety support.
• Illustrate continual improvement trends through graphical data analysis and reporting.
• Uphold the confidentiality of business information pertaining to the company and its clients.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Go for surprise site visits and supervise safety supervisors, officers.
• Communicate with clients and people of varying levels of professionalism, education, etc.
• Understand your clients' needs and build relationships.
• Plan and organize service requests to meet target dates and production goals.

• Demonstrate in-depth Safety related knowledge and skill
• Attend pertinent and productive safety seminars and/or safety courses that expand on current knowledge.
• Keep abreast of all safety regulations and standards.
• Demonstrate, anticipate, and solve practical problems and resolve issues.
• Possess the knowledge of business English, proper spelling, grammar, punctuation, and basic arithmetic.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi language and exceptional communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, good proofreading skills, excellent reliability, initiative and stress tolerance.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds and with co-workers at all levels.
• Follow instructions in verbal and written format.
• Demonstrate good judgment and foresight, moral character, honesty, tact, fairness, lack of prejudice and desire to help when dealing with people.
• Learn, understand and apply new technologies.
• Perform with a professional appearance and excellent customer service skills.
• Conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem solving capabilities.
• Willingness to travel as and when necessary.

• Moderate stress due to regular deadlines and daily challenges

Education:

• Diploma / Graduate / Post-Graduate Engineer (Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Safety Discipline)
• Post/Adv. Diploma in Industrial Safety Discipline (PDIS/ADIS)

Experience: Minimum 5 years in Safety discipline and 2 years as a consultant

Certification preferred: Internal/Lead Auditor-ISO 45001:2018

Willingness to travel: 100% (Required)

Pay: Up to ?500,000.00 per year
