Job Description

The Senior Civil Engineer will lead, plan, design, and oversee large-scale civil engineering projects, including infrastructure development, construction, and maintenance initiatives. This role requires extensive technical expertise, project management skills, and leadership capabilities to guide a multidisciplinary team and ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Design :
• Lead the conceptualization and detailed design of civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, buildings, water systems, and other infrastructure.
• Perform structural analysis and calculations to ensure design integrity and compliance with codes and regulations.
• Prepare technical reports, blueprints, and specifications.
• Project Management :
• Develop project plans, budgets, and schedules.
• Oversee the procurement of materials, services, and subcontractors.
• Ensure project milestones are met within scope, time, and budget constraints.
• Regulatory Compliance :
• Ensure designs and projects adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies to secure necessary approvals and permits.
• Team Leadership & Coordination :
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to align on project goals.
• Conduct regular site visits and meetings to monitor progress and address challenges.
• Quality Assurance :
• Implement and oversee quality control processes to maintain high standards of safety and performance.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Stakeholder Communication :
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.
• Prepare and deliver presentations for stakeholders and public forums, as required.

Qualifications

• Education : Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Experience : 8+ years of professional experience in civil engineering, with significant experience in project management and leadership roles.
• Certifications :
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) certification required.
• Additional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) are a plus.
• Technical Skills :
• Proficiency in civil engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD, SAP2000).
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?60,000.00 - ?70,000.00 per month
