Short Description
Responsible for checking the technical requirements with the specifications offered by vendor, doing 2nd round of negotiation with the vendor and look for an opportunity of alternate vendor and handles a particular item for all the mfg. sites or some of the Mfg. Sites, or handles a particular category in case of Project Procurement.
Long Description
Job Accountabilities
Floating enquiry for the critical items (depending on the user requirement)
Matching and approving the correctness of the technical requirements given by User and the technical specifications given by vendor
Doing the second round of negotiation with vendors and giving the details to buying manager for finalizing the deal with the vendor in case the deal is above a certain amount/close the deal with vendor in case the value is below a certain amount
Ordering of the finalized items and making the appropriate entries in SAP system
Timely response and resolution of Internal and External audit issues related to procurement. Support buyers for resolving such issues.
Identifying the accurate material and services provider that best suits to Company requirement and budget; Developing the vendors meeting the operational requirement; Close monitoring the schedules and mobilization of the Contracts; Ensuring the best to be delivered by the Contractor / Service Provider

Vendor development
Identifying the Vendors as per requirement
Floating RFP\'s to the selected vendors
Collection of Quotations
Comparative statement preparation in consultation with Commercial Dept
Finalizing vendors
Close monitoring the schedules and mobilization of the Contracts
Follow-up with the Vendor for the timely delivery of material
Ensuring the best to be delivered by the Contractor / Service Provider
Ensuring the following of statutory compliance and Safety norms with the Vendor
Closing out audit observations within stipulated time
Compliance with PSC norms & Procedures
Maintain data base for the PR\'s to PO conversion for ready reference
Segregating files as per PSC procedures
Skills Required (Knowledge and Skills)
Understanding fundamentals, technical procedures relating to job
Strong analytical and technical ability
Understanding the requirement and procedures of Oil & Gas Industries
Ensuring the quality delivery of work
Effective cost savings and avoiding wasteful expenditure
Less dependability
Good decision making and organization skills
Qualification:
B-Tech in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Instrumentation Engineering
Experience:
6 years experience in Procurement and Contracts
