If this is appealing to you, we want to meet you.We are looking for Sr. SAP BI-HANA Developer, to be based in Manesar, Gurgaon.A key role in MKS Enterprise Reporting and Analytics organization responsible for developing SAP HANA-based enterprise data warehouse solutions. The EDW will include data from ERPs (SAP ECC, Oracle R-12), Salesforce and other business applications within the enterprise. The Sr. BI/HANA Developer will be responsible for all aspects of the EDW: ETL, metadata layer, presentation layer, security/administration, user support and production support as well as:

  • Develop a strong understanding of business flows, processes and architecture and leverage that in designing and developing BI content.
  • Translate business/functional requirements into technical specifications encompassing the ETL, Metadata layer and Reporting layer.
  • Significant experience in the areas of HANA Modeling, HANA data provisioning, HANA Views and SQL Script, Stored procedures.
  • Hands-on development within all layers of the EDW environment.
  • Data acquisition, modeling, transformation, and load to HANA Platform.
  • Design and development of data models in HANA that assimilate data from multiple sources system (SAP and non-SAP) to effectively and efficiently solve business requirements.
  • Creation of attribute, analytic, calculation views, and scripted calculation views over column tables used for analytical purposes.
  • Design, build and execute data conversions from legacy systems.
  • Write and execute test plans (unit, regression and integration)
  • Technical and user documentation and training.
  • Provide production support and user support, including researching data questions.
  • Provide technical guidance and oversee work completed by junior team members
What will you bring to the team, along with your curiosity is:
  • 5+ years of full life-cycle experience in Data Warehouse/Reporting projects, preferably in an SAP environment.
  • Hands-on experience in all facets of EDW Architecture, Data flow strategy, Data modeling, Metadata & Master data management.
  • Preferred experience with BI reporting tools, preferably in the Business Objects suite (Lumira, Design Studio, Explorer, Analysis, Webi and Crystal Reports) and integration with MS Office.
  • Experience with SAP HANA architecture and HANA Modeling. Understanding of HANA data provisioning, HANA views and SQL Script.
  • Knowledge on extracting data from various sources including SAP and non-SAP system to HANA is required.
  • Knowledge on Advanced modeling concepts including Analytic Views, Attribute Views, Hierarchies, Creating Restricted & Calculated Columns, Filter Operations, Variables, Creating Calculation Views, SAP HANA SQL, SQL Script and Procedures.
  • Experience integrating HANA systems with external systems is preferred.
  • Experience with SAP Data Services, SLT and DXC.
  • Exposure to SAP Data Sphere or similar cloud data warehouse
  • Understanding of BI and HANA security (users, roles, privileges, etc).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong technical documentation skills
