:About the Role:Grade Level (for internal use): 10The Role: Data AnalystThe Team: The Industry Forecasting & Analytics team within FCRS has a focus on centralizing the businesses working relationship with Tech & Data ensuring efficient, shared solutions, and leveraging development ideas across all major FCRS projects.The Impact: A highly visible role working within the FCRS business line supporting the business in various programs around data integration and long-term development of industry forecasting practices. The Data Analyst will be a key member of the industry forecasting team working closely across the FCRS business as well as the wider S&P business to integrate and accelerate the work to connect S&P data across the business.What\'s in it for you: This is an integral role in a challenging and rewarding environment.   • Design, develop, test, and deploy data pipelines and systems using Python, SQL, and other tools.
  • Perform data ingestion, extraction, transformation, and loading from various sources and formats.
  • Optimize data performance, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Implement data quality checks, validation, and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and provide data solutions.
  • Conduct modeling and methodology extractions to support advanced analytics and forecasting.
  • Interact with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather domain-specific knowledge and insights.
  • Utilize SME inputs to enhance data analysis and modeling processes.
  • Document and maintain data standards, best practices, and metadata.
What We\'re Looking For:
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools, such as Power BI, Matplotlib, or Spotfire.
  • Knowledge of machine learning concepts and techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and data quality.
Basic Qualifications: (define basic qualifications)
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • At least 6years of experience as a data engineer or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data engineering frameworks and tools.
