Job Description

The Accounts Executive is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting accounting operations within the organization. This role involves preparing financial statements, handling accounts payable and receivable, assisting with audits, and managing general ledger entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections. This includes invoicing, verifying bills, and maintaining records of transactions.
• Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure that financial records align with bank statements, investigating discrepancies as necessary.
• General Ledger Management: Maintain and update the general ledger, recording all financial transactions in accordance with accounting standards and policies.
• Taxation: Assist with the preparation of tax returns and ensure that all tax filings are completed on time and in compliance with tax laws.
• Payroll Support: Assist in preparing and processing payroll, ensuring accurate deductions and payments to employees and relevant authorities.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts, helping management track financial performance against targets.
• Audit Assistance: Prepare documentation and support external or internal audits by providing necessary financial data and explanations.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting standards, regulations, and company policies, maintaining financial integrity and transparency.
• Financial Analysis: Perform financial analysis to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for cost savings or improvements in financial performance.
• Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records, ensuring that all financial documents are properly filed and accessible.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including sales, operations, and human resources, to gather necessary financial information and resolve any discrepancies.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CA, CPA, ACCA) are a plus.
• Experience: Proven experience in accounting or finance, typically 1-3 years in an accounts-related role.
• Knowledge: Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax laws.
• Software Proficiency: Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
• Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and resolve discrepancies.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and data entry.
• Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills to interact with colleagues, clients, and management.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve financial discrepancies and issues independently or with minimal supervision.
• Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certifications such as CA (Chartered Accountant), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants).
• Experience with financial analysis or budgeting.
• Familiarity with local tax laws and accounting regulations.
• Experience in specific Hospitality industries.

Work Environment:

• Typically office-based with the possibility of remote work, depending on the company's policies.
• May require some overtime during busy periods such as month-end or year-end closing, tax season, or audit periods.
