Job Description

We are looking for a SQL Developer to build and implement functional programs. You will work with other Developers and Product Managers throughout the software development life cycle. In this role, you should be a team player with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills. If you also have experience in Agile frameworks and popular coding languages we'd like to meet you.


##### Roles & Responsibilities


+ As an SQL database engineer on this team, you will help us build new features and enhance our existing software, tools, and experiences to help delight our aviation customers by integrating new sources of data and new technologies.
+ You will help tune database performance, maintain database permissions and roles and assist with SQL database deployments with our development teams.
+ You'll also be part of a tier 3 SME that is engaged with our airline customers and support team.
+ As part of our aviation scrum teams, you'll analyze requirements, design solutions, and help deploy tested solutions on our aviation offerings. You'll be expected to collaboratively experiment, prototype, document and teach others as we build new solutions and solidify IBM security footprint on our aviation teams.

##### Requirements


+ A solid understanding of SQL Server internals and the ability to spot problematic areas, analyze solutions, propose resolutions and direct their implementation is essential
+ 5+ years of SQL Server experience with both DBA and Data Development / Architecture Skills (T-SQL, SP's)
+ Experience working with development teams to deliver database objects and database code as needed.
+ Responsible for design, development and implementation of database changes in a SQL Server environment
+ Experience translating business & security requirements to database structures
+ Experience with backup/recovery tasks, user administration, and SQL Server installation and configuration
+ Software development or scripting experience (powershell, python, C#, etc.)
