Responsibilities:

• Database Administration:
• Manage and administer SQL Server instances and databases.
• Perform database installation, configuration, and upgrades.
• Implement and maintain database security policies and procedures.
• Monitor database performance and optimize queries for efficiency.
• Backup and Recovery:
• Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies.
• Schedule and execute database backups and restores.
• Perform regular backup testing and verification.
• Performance Tuning:
• Analyze database performance metrics and identify optimization opportunities.
• Implement performance tuning techniques to improve database efficiency.
• Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues proactively.
• High Availability and Disaster Recovery:
• Configure and maintain high availability solutions (e.g., AlwaysOn Availability Groups, database mirroring).
• Implement disaster recovery plans and failover procedures.
• Test and validate high availability and disaster recovery solutions regularly.
• Monitoring and Alerting:
• Set up monitoring tools and alerts for system health and performance.
• Monitor system and database logs for errors and anomalies.
• Respond to and resolve alerts in a timely manner.
• Security and Compliance:
• Ensure databases comply with security standards and regulations.
• Manage database users, roles, and permissions.
• Perform security audits and implement security best practices.
• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
• Maintain up-to-date documentation for databases, configurations, and procedures.
• Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions for common issues.
• Share knowledge and best practices with other team members.
• Incident Management and Support:
• Respond to and resolve database-related incidents and outages.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose database issues effectively.
• Provide on-call support as part of a rotation schedule.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server database administration and performance tuning.
• Experience with SQL Server high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
• Proficiency in T-SQL scripting and query optimization.
• Familiarity with database security principles and best practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?600,000.00 - ?1,200,000.00 per year
