Qualifications

Education:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle DBA, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, etc.) are a plus.
Experience:
Proven experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.
Experience with database management systems (DBMS) such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.
Strong understanding of database architecture, design, and data modeling.
Skills:
Proficiency in SQL and database programming languages.
Knowledge of database backup and recovery, performance tuning, and optimization techniques.
Familiarity with ETL tools and processes.
Experience with database security best practices.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database).
Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
Understanding of DevOps practices and tools related to database management.
Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
