Job Responsibilities :\xc2\xb7 Responsible for development of Hydraulic components like Pipes, hoses, Cylinders, Fittings, Pumps and Valves being used in Tractor, Construction equipments and other Agricultural equipments.\xc2\xb7 Alternate source development - To perform various activities of Design Reviews, Technical feasibility with suppliers, Quality Risk Assessment, Supplier Interactions, Development Plans, Technical support to meet project timelines.\xc2\xb7 Interaction with Global commodity buying and Engineering team on concluding Design reviews, Technical feasibility, Development plan, Design Validation activities.\xc2\xb7 Conducting Potential Supplier assessment audit, Process audit, Special process audits (plating, painting, Heat treatment) at current and new suppliers.\xc2\xb7 Planning and undertaking Supplier Improvement plans thru Reactive/ Preventive and Proactive approach.\xc2\xb7 To interact with peers of various functions like Global and local Purchasing, PD, Plant Quality, PDP.Has to interact on activities like development bottlenecks, technical evaluation of suppliers, PIR resolution, support to supply chain bottlenecks etc.Key Performance Indicators :

• Achieving Key project milestones maintaining all the deliverables of DR /TR conclusion, Program Reviews, PPAP approvals & PIR resolution.
• First time right products during initial sample development for testing and validation as well as during PPAP and serial production.
• Conducting regular Process audits at suppliers to ensure the Quality of products.

Major Challenges :

• Hydraulic cluster parts have emerged as a major challenging area for SSP project having highest no. of parts to be developed, high complexity in terms of technology, Proprietary kind of suppliers.

• Thus, this needs to have a highly competitive Supplier Quality person with high level of expertise in this commodity. This position requires having a high level of internal and external networking and having good relationship with suppliers for managing and streamlining the activities in this area.

Work Relationship :InternalInteractions with Local and Global Purchasing commodity, Product Development, Testing & Validation.ExternalSuppliers managementQualifications/Skills :\xc2\xb7 B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.\xc2\xb7 7-12 years of work experience in OEM or auto ancillary in Supplier Quality Function.\xc2\xb7 Skill sets, both in terms of leadership and functional competencies supported by varied experience.\xc2\xb7 Should be well versed with Hydraulic components functions, Tooling/ Fixtures Concept, testing and validation.\xc2\xb7 Hands on experience on measuring devices.

• New Part development process exposure for Hydraulic Pipes and Hoses, Hydraulic cylinders, Fittings, Hydraulic Pumps and Valves.
