Spray Painter
Job Description
• Preparing surfaces : Cleaning, sanding, and repairing surfaces to remove dirt, dust, grease, and imperfections. They may also use a primer if the surface is dark, uneven, or the material requires it.
• Color matching : Mixing colors or oils to achieve the desired color or consistency.
• Applying paint : Using a spray gun to apply primer, paint, and finishing coats.
• Protecting areas : Using masking tape and paper to protect areas that shouldn't be painted.
• Sanding : Sanding surfaces between coats and touching up paintwork.
• Applying other finishes : Applying polish, rustproofing chemicals, and protective seals.
• Cleaning : Cleaning tools and the job site.
• Safety : Following safety standards and using personal protective equipment.
