Role purpose:

• Support Field Operations Team in improving corn seed production efficiency by actively conducting statistical studies including process research, micro-pilot trial, parent test, farm mechanization, and other field production technology related studies
• Provide corn seed production recipe/ instructions for new hybrids and update the production recipe/ instructions of hybrids in stage 6.1 to 10
• Provide agronomic support to the Field Operations Team

Accountabilities:

• Planning, execution, and conducting of Parent Testing, Micro Pilot Testing & Production Research trials in target locations as per business plans.
• Responsible for delivering high trial quality results through good trial planning, sowings, agronomy, accuracy in data collection, harvest & post-harvest operations, data validation & analysis.
• Need to work closely with local Production teams, growers, and other stakeholders and focus on outcomes and outputs.
• Being best at all field safety, vehicle safety, business conduct, ESH, Human Rights, and company FTO norms, including Stewardship & Regulatory policies, while conducting trials and including others to always follow safety.
• Co-create the design and execution of trials in target locations, aligning with local and regional SPR plans to achieve the outputs.
• Co-ordinate for execution of high-quality trials by selecting the right fields and growers, and ensuring adherence to production protocols, harvesting, and post-harvesting practices.
• Create value for the stakeholders through the adoption/ deployment of new technologies, agronomic solutions, and operational excellence.
• Implement Global Standard Parent Testing protocols and catalyse coordination with internal teams, including Foundation Seed, F1 teams, Parent Seed Plants, and drying teams to achieve the required outcomes and outputs.
• Collaborate with growers, field staff, and internal and external stakeholders to implement standard cultural practices and maintain high product security and confidentiality.
• Accountability in data accuracy and integrity by submitting data into Velocity systems, followed by timely validation.
• Focus on 100% compliance in conducting regulated trials and ensure excellence in all stages of field-level work
• Diligently seeking to find ways and solution in performing day to day job for continuous improvement

Qualifications Knowledge, experience & capabilities:

Critical knowledge:

• Degree in Agriculture and related courses
• Knowledge of precision agriculture
• Proficient Knowledge of Seed Production Practices and knowledge of Seed business
• Knowledge project management
• Self-motivated and striving for continuous improvement.
• Advanced English language in both written and oral way

Critical experience:

• At least 3 to 5 years' experience in Seed production
• Project management skills; Demonstrated success in Team and Organization Building

• Ability to apply inquisitive, analytical thinking to problem-solving scenarios.
• Ability to catalyze transformation and change in the organization.
