Role Description:
Sports Operator is a crucial member of a PCR team (Production Control Room). At the front line of operations, they are responsible for what goes On-Air. In sports, he/she is the one responsible for providing the critical information - live updates, scores, stats. etc. The Sports Operator is expected to have the knowledge of the content. Outline of responsibilities include:
• Ensure end-to-end preparation in coordination with relevant departments for quality and error free production.
• Responsible and accountable for a final check.
• Prepare all the graphic templates and share them with the Producer and incorporate their feedback.
• At the time of broadcast, he follows the commands of the director to provide all these templates when needed. To type out astons, story slugs and location bands for live events.
• Understand client requirements and manage delivery .
Skills/Requirements :
1. Passion and interest in Sports
2. Good command over written and spoken language ( English and Hindi)
3. Smart and good inter-personal skills
4. Attitude to take on challenges
5. Willingness to work hard and extra hours to get the job done
6. Experience in PCR will be preferred.
