IT Data EngineerGeneral Summary:Qualcomm IT seeks a Splunk Admin to help with the design, development, and support of Splunk Infrastructure & applications.This role will join the Qualcomm IT Operations Management and Analytics (ITOMA) team that is responsible for managing the global Splunk infrastructure. This is a strategic position and will be instrumental in the design, implementation, support, performance, and integrity of the Splunk ecosystem. You will work closely with multiple stakeholders and global partners. This is a multi-disciplinary role that will interact directly with developers and different functional IT, Security and Engineering teams to gather requirements, architect solutions and ensure the Splunk platform is leveraged as a key data collection'3+ years of experience working on Splunk administration.3+ years of experience with Splunk App and addon, installation & upgrades.3+ years of experience with Splunk Knowledge Object Management.3+ years of experience with the Splunk search language (SPL).3+ years of experience in administering and maintaining Linux operating systems.2+ years of experience with premium Splunk apps such as Enterprise Security or IT service Intelligence.2+ years of system integration experience using web services (SOAP, REST, JSON)Experience using version control tools such as Git/GitHub.Experience with log management systems like syslog-ng or rsyslog.Experience with UNIX shell scripting or Python.Experience navigating application web user interfaces with Apache and/or IISExperience using the CLI or API to administer configuration changes or maintenance tasks.Good understanding and background in TCP/IP, IT security, and single sign-on technologies'Basic QualificationsExcellent problem-solving skillsAble to work independently with minimal supervisionCandidate should be results oriented and driven to achieve set objectives while managing competing priorities.Quality/process focused and attention to detailFunctionalExperienced in working with business partners to gather and interpret requirementsAbility to drive meetings while representing and collaborating with business and IT organizations. This includes SMEs, architects, and managementEffective documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills able to collaborate within the immediate team as well as with other groups in IT.Working experience in a global support modelMinimum Qualifications: xe2x80xa2 Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
OR
1+ year of IT-related work experience with a Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in a non-technical field (e.g., Business, Humanities, Marketing), or related field.
OR
3+ years of IT-related work experience with a High school diploma or equivalent.Physical Requirements:

• Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 20 lbs.
