Speech Therapist(autistic Kid)
Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech Therapist to work with children on the autism spectrum. The ideal candidate will help develop communication skills in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), including speech, language, and social communication.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in children with ASD.
• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each child's specific needs.
• Implement therapy sessions that focus on improving language, speech sounds, social communication, and alternative communication methods (e.g., sign language, AAC devices).
• Provide interventions for pragmatic language skills (e.g., eye contact, taking turns in conversation, understanding non-verbal cues).
• Strong understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder and its impact on speech and language development.
• Proficiency in alternative communication methods (e.g., AAC devices, sign language).
• Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to create a supportive and inclusive environment for children.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: ?300.00 - ?350.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 per week
Schedule:
• Day shift
• Weekend only
Experience:
