Job Description

Job Summary:

The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. The SLP will work with patients across the lifespan, from children to adults, to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address their specific needs and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Assessment and Diagnosis:

Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.

Use standardized tests and assessment tools to diagnose communication disorders.

Prepare detailed reports and documentation based on assessment findings.

Treatment Planning and Implementation:

Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.

Provide direct therapy to individuals or groups, using evidence-based practices.

Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.

Patient and Family Education:

Educate patients and their families about communication disorders and treatment options.

Provide guidance on strategies to improve communication skills at home and in daily activities.

Offer support and counseling to patients and families dealing with communication challenges.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and occupational therapists, to provide comprehensive care.

Communicate regularly with teachers, caregivers, and other relevant parties to support the patient's progress.

Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and progress.

Professional Development:

Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in speech-language pathology.

Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities.

Maintain professional certifications and licenses.

Administrative Duties:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.

Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and program evaluations.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.

Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or equivalent.

Proven experience in assessing and treating a variety of speech and language disorders.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with specific populations, such as children with autism, adults with aphasia, or individuals with voice disorders.

Proficiency in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices and techniques.

Bilingual proficiency is a plus.

Pay: ?10,000.00 - ?47,078.76 per month
