Job Summary:

The Speech and Language Specialist at the Child Development Centre plays a crucial role in diagnosing, assessing and providing therapeutic services for children experiencing communication difficulties. This role involves working with children who have speech, language and communication disorders, developing personalized therapy plans and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support the child's overall development and educational success.

Qualifications:

A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders. Valid and active certification/license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in accordance with local regulations. Experience working with children, particularly those with developmental delays or communication disorders is preferred. Strong knowledge of child development, language acquisition and evidence-based therapy techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, parents and other professionals. Compassionate, patient and empathetic approach to working with children and families.

Working Conditions:

Full-time or part-time positions available. Work primarily in a clinic or classroom setting with occasional home visits if required. Opportunities for flexible scheduling based on the needs of the child development Centre.
