How You Will Contribute:This is a key supply chain role coordinating the logistics and related functions across multiple supply chain groups. A sound knowledge of Logistics best practice covering both warehousing and freight management is essential - along with import/export experience. This role requires a highly committed individual who will proactively manage complex situations displaying a logical project management based approach, problem solve as required and keep stakeholders involved and updated. This role reports directly into the International Logistics Senior Manager.
  • Plan, manage and evaluate logistics operations liaising with Internal stakeholders, Freight Forwarders, CHAs, LSPs and Customers.
  • Monitoring custom regulations frameworks (custom valuations, product classification, Free Trade Agreement etc.) and ensure process in place to identify and implement changes as needed.
  • Deliver solutions to logistics problems (International/ Domestic freight) while maintaining high levels of quality and services within budgetary requirements.
  • Monitor and manage quality, quantity, delivery times and logistics costs in the whole distribution channel, negotiate rates with freight forwarders, CHAs, LSPs, recommend optimal routes & frequencies.
  • Set functional objectives/KPIs, review and assess ongoing performance of team. Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies, and cost optimization opportunities.
  • Undergo internal and external audits with zero tolerance.
  • Ensure accurate data management and timely MIS to stakeholders.
  • Responsible for partner relationship management, timely payments, reconciliation etc.
  • Supervising the preparation, filing, collection, and archiving of import/export-related licenses, permits, and other trade-related documents as necessary for business activities within India.
  • Liaison and working closely with cross-functional teams including Account, Legal/Trade, Tax, Product Management, Technology, Sourcing, and Commercial to facilitate optimal implementation of business objectives.
  • Review, Interpret, analyze data, and provide meaningful inputs to stakeholders in the organization to aid customer services and continuous improvement.
Warehousing & Distribution:
  • Daily management of Direct Order Fulfillment (DOF) warehouse.
  • Establish processes to manage inventory in WH (either goods or indirect items such as over packing).
  • Ensure the timeliness of shipping plan:
  • Manage resources to accomplish the plan adequately.
  • Work with partner to secure resources for daily operations.
  • Monitor and suggest changes to workforce allocation to mitigate bottlenecks and maintain efficiency levels.
  • Analyze capacity trends and proactively suggest changes to the plan to support peaks and seasonality of the business.
  • Escalate DOF issues and engage the Global Commodity team as needed.
  • Provide timely feedback to partners to prevent and/or address impact of order fulfillment metrics.
  • Coordinate with our partner the rolling weekly orders drive and ship plan.
  • Communicates effectively with Scheduling and Fulfillment teams on delivery commitments, issues affecting orders or schedule changes.
  • Participates in cross functional production & supplier meetings to ensure on time delivery shipments
  • Works with suppliers to ensure system data integrity of DOF related activities
  • Performs what if analysis and rough-cut capacity planning for potential opportunities to establish projected shipment dates.
  • Proactively engages with IT in system issues impacting shipping plan and DOF commitments.
  • Support system migrations and testing required to maintain warehouse control and efficiencies.
  • Manage Receiving process by ensuring adequate communication for inbound material on a timely manner.
  • Interface with IT on systems issues affecting the DOF operations.

Preferred Technical Skills:
  • Minimum ten (10) + years relevant experience in any international company with Logistics, distribution, OR Supply chain management.
  • Direct import and/or export compliance experience with solid knowledge of India EXIM regulations as well as Indian Customs regulations.
  • Knowledge on process and compliances related to EOU, STPI, SEZ, FTA, FTWZ, etc.
  • Knowledge and working understanding of trade regulations, including FTP, DGFT, CBIC, MOEF.
  • Understanding of ICEGATE and application of IGST.
  • Experienced in setup and implementation of import / export schemes to reduce import/export costs.
  • Ability to navigate EXIM bank requirements for export / re-importation / drawback.
  • Interaction with SVB on valuation rulings and supporting documentation; CESTAT process.
  • Strong knowledge of ITC-HS classification and Customs Act for imports/exports of hardware, software , technology etc.
  • End-to-end warehouse process knowledge.
  • Direct Order Fulfillment (DOF) knowledge.
  • Understanding of MRP systems, preferable Oracle under warehouse environment.
  • Proven ability to achieve results through Lean Manufacturing resources.
  • Flexibility to work in different time zone to engage with Global peers and stakeholders.
  • Analytical skills, detail-oriented, and possess the ability to anticipate problems and diffuse situations.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Any bachelors degree
  • Strong people/influencing skills
  • Excellent computer skills: Outlook, Excel, Power point, and experience with OTM/GTM a plus.
  • Language known: Hindi and English; knowing Tamil will be an advantage.
People Management Skills:
  • Manage, coach, and develop high performing team and individuals that meets objectives and delivers desired results, adds value, and practices continuous improvement approach.
  • Set functional objectives/KPIs and review/assess ongoing performance of direct reports.
  • Overall, a team player to take the whole team together towards achieving the goals of the organization.
