Specialist, Technical Professional Services (Spectrum - Custom) What does a successful Spectrum Custom Specialist do at Fiserv?


The Spectrum Custom Specialist is responsible to write custom programs for Fiserv's Banking application for Credit Unions - Spectrum. This is a full-time position with career growth opportunities and a competitive benefits package. What you will do

• Perform multiple roles (Requirement analysis, C/C++ Development, Training, Validation, Set-up and Configurations, Back office) involved in Product Development lifecycle.
• Under general supervision, analyze and determine development requirements and provide development specification to programming.
• Interpret client's existing systems, workflows, and processing parameters.
• Must take complete ownership of the technical delivery and play multiple roles in the assigned development requirement.
• Applies standard project management principles including the creation and maintenance of project plans and managing project tasks and resource collaboration as they apply.
• Manages multiple clients and adheres to project timelines.
• Manages client expectations with respect to available product solutions.
• Monitors project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports, recommending actions in accordance with stated procedure.
• Assists management with the planning and design of improvements to business processes.
• Maintains ownership of all projects
• Uses sound judgment and experience to solve moderately complex problems based on precedent, example and experience that is commiserate with that of Business Analyst.
• Utilizes system and data to resolve business issues in the most effective manner.
• Analyzes and identifies root cause; providing input to solutions that lead to success of the project.
• Communicate progress and any potential problems to Project Manager for awareness and/or resolution.

What you will need to have

• B.Tech/MCA
• 5 to 8 years of experience in IT Industry.
• Strong technical knowledge on application development and maintenance using C, C++
• Good to know core Java.
• Hands-on experience on basic and advanced Unix commands
• Strong in analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read existing code modules and work within existing framework.
• Should have a good understanding of activities performed in design and development of core Banking applications.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles is required. Basic knowledge of General Ledgers, the principles of debits, credits, and balancing.
• Good knowledge in identifying valid business scenarios, business workflows and business process.

What would be great to have

• Experience in implementing or supporting SaaS solutions.
• Experience supporting Banking Core Product development.
• Experience in Eloquence database calls
