Operational Quality

Operational Quality is a part of QHSE Servicess in Engineering Business Service Center(EBSC), Chennai. This department is responsible for handling QBD in manufacturing & Trasnport, Supplier NC E2E handling, Quality improvement projects and MBP validation & Verification. The department consist of skilled industry experts within field of manufacturing, process trouble shooting, optimization, cost reduction & solutioning through specialists located in Chennai, India

Responsibilities

As a Specialist in Quality Before Delivery (QBD), responsible for

Driving QBD level 4( Escalation from factory manager to Regions) & level 5(Escalations from Business unit leader to Chief operating officer) issues for solutions (Risk management)

Responsible for systematic problem management for the escalated issues at BU leader and COO level at the set timelines - this requires deep knowledge & experience in manufacturing processes

Responsible for effective cross functional team selection to facilitate the problem solving & root cause identification with the support from resource managers of various departments in value chain around the globe. This includes low level to major level of the organization

Responsible to transfer the lesson learns from the issues to avoid reoccurrence of it

Identification of problems and proactive mitigation of key risks including appropriate communication to local key stakeholders and management team

Overall governance responsible for QBD process in all segments

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering with minimum of 10~15 years of experience in manufacturing industry

Experience in Project management ( PRINCE 2 or PMP certification is added advantage)

Experience with lean / Six sigma tools is added advantage

Blades manufacturing knowledge is added advantage

Fluent in English (written & verbal)
