Develops, reviews, and manages procedures for payroll operations. Provides support and analysis for payroll activities and reports. Responsible for researching issues, making recommendations, and responding to low to medium complexity queries.

  • Supports daily operations and develops procedures to provide quality and efficient payroll operations.
  • Analyzes and supports the regular disbursement of payroll, processing of all pay data, maintenance of payroll records and internal control activities to ensure accuracy and timely completion of payroll activities.
  • Supports preparation of regular reports for weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Researches payroll issues, provides analysis and makes recommendations to management.
  • Reviews and manages policies and procedures surrounding payroll processes to ensure conformance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Responds to low to medium complexity questions from employees and supervisors to provide clarity on payroll related issues.
  • Manages small-scale payroll projects.
Key Role Responsibilities:
  • Submission of monthly payroll inputs
  • Sri Lanka Payroll & Compliance management
  • Provisioning with finance on costs (Benefits/Incentive/Flexi Pay)
  • EIB for Comp change (off-cycle)
  • Reimbursement provisions (Fuel, LTA and Telephone) + NPS management with payroll
  • Cross Charge management (Coordination with Finance & entities outside India on Monthly reporting & checks)
  • Expat foreign currency disbursement process.
  • Submission of Payroll details to finance for Salary Booking, including manual Salary Cost Allocation; salary return cases.
  • Audit Requirements; coordination with finance & auditor
  • Post payroll compliance payment management.
  • Change in compensation in case of government notification (min wages)
  • Liaison between Payroll, compliance vendor
  • Handling employee queries related on payroll.
  • Liaison between expat, payroll & finance for query management; specifically, for RSU tax accounting & year tax queries.
  • Preparing F&F Settlement inputs; coordination with finance on Salary hold & release cases; clearing from books.
  • SIP tool data management.
  • Creation of SAP code & employee vendor code.
  • Capex Policy - end to end management for portal, coordination with finance on accounting closure.
  • Process trainee & retainer payments / vendor payments
Role Purpose:
  • Excellent proficiency in English and Hindi
  • Good Knowledge in MS. Office Applications- (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent in Advance Excel
  • Highly Process oriented, strong attention to detail with high level of accuracy
  • Demonstrate ability to work with leaders, HR business partners, stake holders and teams across all functions.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills with a strong ability to handle stakeholder queries across regions.
  • Quick learner and Strong understanding of HR processes, Policies, and procedures across regions and payroll process
  • Able to demonstrate Strong Problem solving, analytical skills, Time management, prioritization, and Follow-up Skills
  • Proactive in achieving results and seeking improvements with excellent PMO skills.
  • Able to multi-task, effectively managing a wide range of daily activities and any ad hoc activity.
  • Able to work as a productive, collaborative member of a team, with good research abilities.
  • Knowledge in Case Management and Data Management tools-preferably ServiceNow and Workday or any other tool will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment who can manage all deliverables within agreed SLAs.
  • Flexible to work in shifts if required.
  • People Management.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelors / Masters in HR / Labour Laws is Preferred
  • 6 to 7 years of relevant experience in HR function-Payroll Management, Benefits-NPS & Meal Card, Statutory Compliance- EPF, PT, LWF & Gratuity Trust, Salary Structure.
