Specialist - Insurance Underwriter - 2-4 Years - Bangalore - PuneWe are seeking an experienced underwriter with a minimum of 2 to 4 years in the insurance industry, specializing in home insurance, motor insurance, and mortgage. The ideal candidate must be based in India with expertise in underwriting.Location- Bangalore and PuneYour future employer: A leading, global group with a strong foothold in specialty insurance and re-insurance services serving millions of customers across the full spectrum.Responsibilities:

• Evaluating insurance applications concerning property and liability risks, such as homeowners\' insurance, commercial property coverage, and general liability policies.
• Assess applicant information, including property specifics, occupancy details, claims history, and relevant documentation.
• Determining suitable coverage limits, deductibles, and premium rates for each property and liability insurance policy based on the applicant\'s risk profile, industry standards, and the carrier\'s underwriting guidelines.
• Collaborating and communicate effectively with insurance agents and brokers to gather additional information, clarify details, and negotiate terms.
• Ensuring adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements. Follow established underwriting guidelines and procedures to maintain consistency and fairness in decision-making.
• Maintaining accurate records of underwriting decisions, correspondence, and supporting documents. Organize and manage underwriting files for easy retrieval and reference.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor\'s degree in a relevant field such as finance, business, or insurance.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in an Underwriter role or similar, depending on the level (1 year for UW L1, 2 years for UW L2).
• Strong skills in analysis and making informed decisions.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Familiarity with insurance industry regulations and standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
