About the department Cross DD&IT Technologies is the unit which is responsible for more than 40 global IT systems at Novo Nordisk including the operation, maintenance, support and development of these systems. The systems are used on a global scale by all areas of the business from R&D to Sales and are critical to the execution of key business processes such as development, manufacturing, sales, finance, etc. The Novo Nordisk SAP Development (ABAP) Centre provides development services to Product Supply, R&D, Finance and HR working across SAP application areas such as FI, HR, WM, MM, SRM, ATTP, PPPI, WM Log, PM, QM Calib., GBT, APO, SD etc. handling some of the most Financial or GxP critical IT processes in Novo Nordisk. Position The position is for a Senior SAP S4 HANA ABAP developer with broad experience in designing and implementing technical solutions in Supply Chain, Finance, HR and across Logistics areas. Experience in S4 HANA development will be a key pre-requisite. SDC (SAP Development CoE) team expects the position holder to have a solid background in ABAP programming with HANA and a strong customer centric and team-oriented attitude. The position holder is responsible for the following: As a senior S4 HANA ABAP Developer, work on and solve complex problems related both ECC and S4 HANA activities. Perform ABAP programming in both ECC & S4 HANA, testing, and debugging activities related to the implementation, enhancement, and support of SAP solutions across the value chain. Provide technical SAP support and communicate resolutions to stakeholders in IT, Line of Business and external vendors. Serve as a technical leader to help provide relevant inputs in the areas of code remediation from an ECC to S4 HANA migration standpoint. Interface with functional teams to ensure the proper integration of business processes and procedures with information technology and to identify customer solutions. Perform related duties as assigned - Testing, debugging, training functional colleagues and impart best practice sharing. Serve as a self-driven SAP technical SME in an Agile team and self-manage capacity. Interact with primary stakeholders across the various ARTs (Agile Release Trains) and across the IT units in DD&IT Qualifications Bachelor or similar graduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration combined with additional relevant IT and business experience. 10+ years of SAP development experience using ABAP and experience in developing in S/4 HANA is a must. Knowledge on OData, AMDP, CDS Views are essential. Experience in UI5/Fiori development with deep knowledge of backend development / configuration (OData services, Annotations, RFC/BAPI) Workflow with BRF/BTP knowledge is preferable. Experience in being part of ECC to S4 HANA migration is a plus. Ability to collaborate and communicate with external parties, primarily with Global IT, LoB IT organisations and users.
