Job Title: Specialist, Global Clinical SolutionsCareer Level - CIntroduction to roleGlobal Clinical Solutions (GCS) drives the delivery of services and technology for AstraZeneca for its internal and external team members. The Specialist, GCS delivers global centralized services across drug projects and other activities that enable the delivery of Clinical Development programs to time, cost, and quality across all delivery models. Individuals in this role will ensure the population and availability of complete, high-quality data from clinical operations processes, procedures, and systems. They may deliver training related to system procedures and processes and participate in the coordination of the life cycle management of processes and systems/tools, including associated documentation. All Specialists, GCS will participate in improvement projects as needed and will supply to functional and regional initiatives.AccountabilitiesAs a member of a specific activity team, the GCS Specialist:Delivers GCS servicesSets up and maintains systems/tools and data associated with projects, services, and technology in partnership with Study Teams and external partners to appropriate standards, completeness, quality, and consistencySupports life cycle management and business continuity for operational processes/procedures, systems/tools, standards, procedural documentation, and training materialsProvides support to user communities including:Conducting relevant process/system/tool trainingFacilitating knowledge sharingEstablishing standard processesEnsuring communication with relevant collaborators across GCS and AZPerforms analyses of processes and tools to define business usage and identify opportunities to improve efficiency/effectiveness of systems/methods/processes; supports in User Requirement Specifications and User Acceptance TestsContributes to reasons for continuous improvement projectsPrioritizes workload to achieve personal and work unit targetsParticipates in change initiativesEssential Skills/ExperienceBachelors degree or other equal education that supports Skills and Capabilities of the position and ensures successful conduct of accountabilities/responsibilities and appropriate interactions with internal/external customersShown organizational and analytical skillsProven track record to multitask, time management, and task-oriented performancePrevious administrative training/experienceComputer proficiencyCan create and maintain systems for efficiency for both self and othersExcellent knowledge of spoken and written EnglishStrong interpersonal skillsExhibit of AZ Values and BehaviorsDesirable Skills/ExperienceUniversity degree in biological science or health care-related fieldA good understanding of the clinical study processProgramming experience or programming aptitudeWork experience in the pharmaceutical industry or in the environment of clinical study delivery/clinical development processesKnowledge of pharmaceutical drug development and clinical study processes and associated government regulations, ICH GCPShown willingness and ability to train others on study support processes and proceduresDemonstrate the ability to proactively identify risks and issues as well as possible solutionsGxP trainedWhen we put unexpected teams in the same room, we unleash bold thinking with the power to inspire life-changing medicines.
