Overview:The role of a Special Educator - RCI Certified (SEN Teacher) is crucial in providing specialized instruction to students with special needs. The individual in this role plays a key part in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment, ensuring that each student receives personalized education to reach their full potential.Key Responsibilities:

• Implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs, including behavioral, learning, and physical disabilities.
• Provide direct instruction in various subjects based on students\' IEP goals.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive classroom settings.
• Assess students\' progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
• Utilize assistive technology and specialized instructional materials to enhance learning.
• Develop and implement behavior management plans to support students with behavioral challenges.
• Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders to share students\' progress and goals.
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide input on student\'s progress and goals.
• Conduct assessments to identify students\' strengths and areas for growth.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, therapists, and counselors, to support students\' holistic development.
• Stay updated on best practices in special education and incorporate them into the instructional approach.
• Provide support and guidance to paraprofessionals and instructional assistants working with special needs students.
• Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.

• Bachelor\'s degree in Special Education or relevant field.
• RCI Certification in Special Education.
• Proven experience working with students with special needs.
• Understanding of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and their implementation.
• Knowledge of different learning styles and ability to implement differentiated instruction.
• Ability to effectively manage classroom behavior and implement behavior intervention strategies.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to assess students\' learning needs and develop appropriate instructional plans.
• Knowledge of assistive technology and its integration into the classroom.
• Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations related to special education.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with students with special needs.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with various stakeholders.
• Continuous professional development in the field of special education.
• Understanding of culturally responsive teaching practices.
