The Spare Incharge is responsible for managing the inventory of spare parts, ensuring availability, and optimizing stock levels to support maintenance and production operations. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, monitoring stock movements, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
• Inventory Management: Monitor and manage the inventory of spare parts to ensure optimal stock levels.
• Ordering and Procurement: Place orders for spare parts based on usage rates and forecasts; establish relationships with suppliers for timely procurement.
• Stock Control: Conduct regular stock audits and reconciliations to maintain accuracy in inventory records.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of incoming and outgoing spare parts, including receipts, transfers, and usage reports.
• Cost Management: Analyze inventory costs and implement strategies to reduce waste and improve cost efficiency.
• Coordination: Work closely with maintenance and production teams to understand spare parts requirements and prioritize needs.
• Reporting: Generate reports on inventory levels, turnover rates, and order history for management review.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure all spare parts are stored safely and comply with relevant regulations and standards.
