About the Spanish Teacher role

The Spanish Teacher will be responsible for teaching Spanish language courses to students across various grade levels, including introductory to advanced levels. The role requires the delivery of engaging lessons that develop students' language skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening, as well as fostering an appreciation of Spanish-speaking cultures.

Specific responsibilities

• Develop and deliver Spanish language lessons that are aligned with the curriculum and meet the needs of students at various proficiency levels.
• Teach Spanish language courses, including grammar, vocabulary, speaking, writing, and comprehension.
• Plan, prepare, and present lessons in a clear, engaging, and dynamic manner.
• Use technology, multimedia, and other teaching aids to enhance learning and maintain student engagement.
• Assess student progress regularly through quizzes, tests, assignments, and projects, providing constructive feedback.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and language practice.
• Organize and participate in extracurricular activities to promote language learning and cultural understanding, such as language clubs or exchange programs.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Spanish, Linguistics, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish and English.
• Teaching certification in Spanish or Foreign Language Education is preferred.
