Role - Vice President - Compliance
Location: Hyderabad
Job Purpose:
- Support CCO for ensuring compliance to Regulatory, Statutory and all such bodies including internal compliance in the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist CCO in overseeing the implementation of Compliance Policy as per Manuals, internal codes of conduct, etc.
- Assist in carrying out an exercise to identify and assess the major compliance risk faced by the Company and formulate plans to manage it.
- Assist in developing the yearly compliance controls monitoring plan in line with the organisation
goals.
- Preparing clear and concise compliance MIS.
- Coordinating internal compliance review and monitoring activities, including periodical reviews.
- Act as an advisory for all types of Operations including IT system implementation.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and half-yearly detailed annual reviews of Compliance and its
risk in such a manner as to assist Board members to make an informed judgment on whether the
Company is managing its compliance risk effectively.
- Carry out the implementation/adherence of regulatory/supervisory directions given by RBI and other
regulatory statutory bodies in both letter and spirit in a time-bound and sustainable manner.
- Assist in examining staff accountability in major compliance failures and provide timely suggestions
and findings based on analysis of such incidents.
- Submit reports on Progress in the rectification of significant deficiencies and implementation of
recommendations pointed out in various audits and RBI inspection reports.
- Ensuring timely submission of various regulatory returns, disclosures and periodic queries of RBI and
monitoring of statutory filings done by different process owners, and directly monitor Fraud Reporting.
- Support in assessing risks/regulatory aspects in new product/process launches and suggesting way
forward.
- Arranging workshops and relevant external training as per requirements.
- Collaborating with other internal areas including: Legal, Business Management, Operations,
Technology, Finance, other Control Functions, and In-Business Risk to address compliance issues which
may impact the supported function/business/product.
- Assist CCO in developing Compliance framework and Compliance culture in the organisation.
- Prepare and maintain Compliance calendar of the Company by covering the all the operations
performed in the Company.
- Ensure the Board and Committees agendas in line with RBI requirements.
Job Requirement:
- CA/CS/CMA/MBA Finance/ with 10/14 years experience in pure RBI Compliance (excluding secretarial experience) in Banks/NBFCs/Financial Institutions.
- Sufficient work experience in sizable NBFCs i..e. RBI Compliance work experience in 5000+/10000+ AUM NBFCs or in banks.
Work experience NBFC-MFI
Competencies:
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements & risks entailed in running of a financial institution / NBFC.
- Proficient with Regulatory risk assessment and compliance monitoring procedures.
- Experience in developing, implementing and managing compliance framework.
- Strong interpretation skills over RBI guidelines and other regulatory statutory requirement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of maturity in dealing with Senior Management team, regulators and other stakeholders.
- Problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to analyse large datasets & reports.
- Proactive in detecting compliance issues and provide suitable advice.
- Capability to develop IT systems/ guide in Compliance testing.
- Knowledge in different business portfolios covering secured and secured portfolio.
- Strong awareness in AML/KYC Compliance and, operational expertise in digital initiatives.
- Experience in handling RBI inspection and input submission.
