South Indian Cook

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled South Indian cook who is passionate about preparing authentic South Indian cuisine. The ideal candidate will have experience in cooking traditional dishes such as dosa, idli, sambar, vada, and other regional delicacies, while maintaining high standards of hygiene and quality. This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of spices, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook a variety of traditional South Indian dishes, including but not limited to dosa, idli, sambar, vada, rasam, appam, and more. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring all utensils and equipment are properly sanitized. Ensure all food is prepared and served according to established recipes and food safety standards. Manage food inventory, ensuring ingredients are stocked and stored properly. Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food preparation. Assist in menu planning and suggest new ideas for dishes or seasonal specials. Monitor food quality and presentation, ensuring dishes meet the standards of the restaurant or establishment. Handle kitchen operations during busy hours, ensuring a smooth workflow and minimal delays. Adhere to all health and safety regulations. Maintain positive communication with customers and address any special dietary requests.
