Job Summary:

Nitzana is seeking a dedicated and innovative Sous Chef to join our team. Our mission is to provide healthy and nutritious meals to our community. As a Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, and upholding our commitment to healthy, delicious meals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in Kitchen Management: Support the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and high standards.
• Supervise Kitchen Staff: Lead and motivate kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Menu Development: Collaborate with the Head Chef to create and refine menus that align with our healthy food philosophy.
• Quality Control: Ensure all dishes meet Nitzana's high standards for taste, presentation, and nutritional value.
• Inventory Management: Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure minimal waste while maintaining freshness and quality of ingredients.
• Training and Development : Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure the kitchen is clean, organized, and complies with health and safety regulations.
• Cost Control: Monitor food costs and implement cost-saving measures without compromising on quality.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume kitchen.
• Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognized culinary institution.
• Strong understanding of healthy cooking techniques and nutrition.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure in a busy kitchen environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
