Job Title: Sous Chef - Continental Cuisine

Location: Novotel Goa Dona Sylvia Resort, Cavelossim, Goa

Reports to: Executive Chef

Job Summary: We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in continental cuisine and a strong commitment to quality and presentation. As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, menu planning, and staff management while maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Executive Chef in developing and executing a diverse menu focused on continental cuisine.
• Supervise and train kitchen staff in food preparation and presentation techniques.
• Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of taste and presentation.
• Maintain inventory and assist in ordering supplies and ingredients.
• Monitor kitchen operations to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef in menu planning, costing, and portion control.
• Handle special dietary requests and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Lead by example in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
• Assist in the development and implementation of new recipes and cooking techniques.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant, with a focus on continental cuisine.
• Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Passion for culinary arts and continuous improvement.
