Sonography Typist Intern
Job Description
:
• Typing and Transcription : Accurately transcribe sonography reports dictated by radiologists or sonographers.
• Medical Terminology : Use correct medical terminology related to sonography, ensuring accuracy in the reports.
• Document Management : File, store, and retrieve sonography reports as needed. Ensure that all reports are properly organized.
• Data Entry : Enter patient information, test results, and other data into the healthcare facility's system.
• Proofreading : Review and proofread reports for grammatical and medical accuracy.
• Collaboration : Work closely with sonographers, radiologists, and other medical professionals to ensure reports are completed in a timely manner.
• Confidentiality : Maintain the confidentiality of all patient information in compliance with healthcare privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA).
Skills and Qualifications:
• Proficiency in typing with speed and accuracy.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, especially in radiology/sonography.
• Attention to detail and strong proofreading skills.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
