As a Solutioning Head for Advanced Analytics, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be responsible for building a high-performance, diverse technical team, and delivering impactful, scalable analytics solutions that challenge the status quo and drive value for Signify and its customers. This position reports to the Global Head of Analytics, supports key markets in the Americas, Europe, and Asia, and is based out of our Digital hub in Bengaluru, India.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do

• Take accountability for the delivery of impactful, on-time, and within-budget analytics solutions across the key markets of Signify. Your top focus areas will be the productization, replicability, scalability, and maintenance of these delivered analytics solutions. Currently, the team delivers 10-15 use cases each year (very few in production), and you will have a crucial role in significantly increasing this output, and the EUR impact on the company\xe2\x80\x99s P&L. Furthermore, you will serve as the highest point of escalation for analytics solution delivery in Signify.

• Manage a growing team of 30+ data scientists, ML engineers, and ML ops practitioners. Team strength is likely to grow in the coming years, and your primary responsibilities as a people leader will be to hire and retain top talent, provide day-to-day coaching, foster collaboration, and build a high-performance team.

• Establish an effective execution methodology and standard ways of working, characterized by a clear RACI, streamlined processes, approval tollgates, and above all, fit-for-purpose solution design and technical architecture.

• Evangelize advanced analytics at different levels in the organization, especially with the senior executives and commercial leaders across the globe. Particularly important to bring in the best practices from other industries, and demonstrate application-oriented thought leadership in new areas such as Generative AI, leading to a robust use case pipeline.

• Coach the senior data scientists on storyboarding and exec communication, with the end goal being to drive the adoption of delivered analytics use cases, leading to a measurable P&L impact from advanced analytics.

Your qualifications

• MBA or a Ph.D. / Master\'s in Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Operations Research, Engineering, Science, Maths, or Economics is preferred.
• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s in engineering, Statistics, Economics, Science, or any related technical field is strongly preferred.
• Overall 18+ years of work experience.
• Certifications and academic projects or published whitepapers in data science discipline will be a strong plus.
• Solid, hands-on experience in productizing analytics solutions at scale, and building data products such as Marketing Mix and Promotion Effectiveness Models, ROI Simulation Tools, Price Elasticity Tools, Revenue and SKU Forecasting Models, Cost-To-Serve / TCO Tools, HR analytics, etc. with functional UI and optimal backend data automation.
• 10+ years of people management experience, specifically building and leading large analytics solutions teams comprising data scientists, architects, ML engineers, and ML Ops practitioners. In particular, the ability to coach data scientists on the most impactful analytics use cases, application areas, solutioning approaches, ML algorithms, and coding best practices is a MUST.
• Deep working knowledge of ML-Ops and ML-Engineering disciplines to collaborate with enterprise architects and build a technical roadmap for advanced analytics, and to stand up a core team that can support the ongoing maintenance and refresh of delivered / productized analytics solutions with minimal manual efforts.
• Strong process credentials, having designed and executed process and RACI for large teams. Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma is not necessary but will be a big plus.
• Good executive presence and the ability to explain complex concepts, trade-offs for fact-based decision-making, and AI / ML solutions to senior executives in simple terms, using data visualizations and storyboarding.
• In addition to the above, an insatiable intellectual curiosity to master new areas and demonstrate thought leadership in emerging fields such as generative AI and its applications in manufacturing would make one a top candidate.
