•ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM: •


The Solution Engineer Manager collaborates on the technology planning strategy direction and design choices within solutions used to meet the business requirements of SITA customers. This includes providing guidance support and advice in the proposal implementation and deployment for any new or existing product developments as part of a customer solution.

•WHAT YOU WILL DO: •

• Provides technical qualification and owns the technical aspects of proposals submitted to customers. This is achieved through a deep knowledge of current, new, or evolving technologies, specifically within the domains of Local Area Network (LAN), Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN), mobile, satellite, and Security, as well as SITA's solution portfolios.
• Designs and coordinates the development of standard and complex LAN, WLAN, mobile, satellite, and Security solutions. These solutions may involve multiple parties both internally and externally, including the selection of 3rd party vendors to meet customer requirements for network connectivity, wireless technologies, and security.
• Promotes SITA by providing customers with comprehensive, up-to-date information on current products, product enhancements, and new solutions in the areas of LAN, WLAN, mobile, satellite, and Security through customer meetings and workshops. Ensures that the designs are efficiently implemented Right the First Time (RFT) and are operationally supportable.
• Collaborates with colleagues to gain and share ideas and opportunities related to LAN, WLAN, mobile, satellite, and Security solutions.
• Leads, mentors, and coaches' staff, and organizes technical training and certification on the products and technologies supporting the LAN, WLAN, mobile, satellite, and Security areas within the Air Transport Industry (ATI).
• Supports account teams or competency centres during the pre-contract phases (qualification, proposal, and contract) with technical designs and advice, specifically in the areas of LAN, WLAN, mobile, satellite, and Security solutions.
• Participates in the development of technical account strategies with the sales team to ensure maximum account penetration and commercial benefits for SITA in the long term, especially in the LAN, WLAN, mobile, satellite, and Security domains.




Qualifications:
•EXPERIENCE •

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering Computer / Telecommunication Technologies
• 5-8 years of experience in Information Technology Telecom Industry or Air Transport Industry technology in a technical pre-sales role
• Proven track record in producing communicating and documenting successful technical customer solutions
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment with other architects, engineers, and project managers.
• Time management: Ability to manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
• Customer service: Ability to provide excellent customer service throughout the project lifecycle.
• At least 1 advanced technical certification is required (e.g. Versa SDWAN, Cisco Professional / Expert certifications, Fortinet NSE 4 and above, Zscaler Professional, etc....

•COMPETENCIES •

• Technologies: Knowledge of LAN, WLAN, WLAN controller, Firewall, VPN, IDS, NAC, MIFI Mobile Wifi router, IoT SIM connectivity, optical networking GPON, satellite
• Low-Level Design: Ability to design secured LAN, MAN and WLAN solutions for large campuses, airports, remote sites
• Vendors: Cisco, Meraki, HP Aruba, Juniper Mist, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cradlepoint, Tellabs, Ekahau, Starlink
• Verbal communication: Ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues about LAN, MAN, WLAN, Mobile, and security solutions.
• Written communication: Ability to write clear and concise technical documentation, proposals, and reports.
• Presentation skills: Ability to deliver engaging and persuasive presentations about LAN, wireless, mobile, and security solutions.
• Problem-solving: Ability to analyse complex problems and design solutions to meet customer needs
• Needs analysis: Ability to conduct needs analysis to understand the organization's networking & Security requirements.
• Cost analysis: Ability to conduct cost analysis and make recommendations for cost-effective solutions.
• ROI analysis: Ability to conduct Return on Investment (ROI) analysis and make recommendations for the most effective solutions.
• Sales support: Ability to provide technical support to sales teams during the sales cycle
