As a Solution Architect, you will be responsible for assisting in the design and governance of innovative solutions that meet or exceed our Client's needs. You will work closely with the senior Solution Architect, Product team and Engineering colleagues to define high-quality architectural designs and strategies, ensuring they meet the functional and non-functional requirements.
• Support the architectural design and governance of complex business solutions, ensuring alignment with the overarching business and technology strategies
• Collaborate with stakeholders in a proactive way, to understand their requirements and risks
• Respectfully challenge our Product and Engineering teams to ensure clarity and quality is paramount at all times
• Research new industry patterns, technologies and tools to ensure our solutions are optimised for their existing remit and the future
• Attend relevant agile ceremonies to provide architectural input and understand delivery changes as they happen
• Develop and maintain architectural documentation, including solution blueprints, patterns, conceptual, logical and physical solution diagrams, and technical specifications
• Support the architectural assurance process to ensure the solutions meet the business needs and minimise risk
• Support initiatives that improve and optimise the architecture discipline
What would success in the role look like?
• Support of Senior Solution Architect and involvement in one or more initiatives for which they are accountable
• Demonstrable contribution to the optimisation and improvement of the architecture discipline within Experian UK
Creation of one or more solutions for the CVS domain, and successful approval through the assurance process
Qualifications
A highly motivated and results-oriented individual with a strong technical background and significant experience in solution architecture.
• A hands-on technologist
• A continuous learning and growth attitude
• An innovation mindset; looking for opportunities to improve, optimise and automate
• Batchelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
• An understanding of Architecture and how it adds value
• Strong knowledge of at least one cloud platform (AWS preferred)
• Strong understanding of DB technologies; relational, no-sql, graph, vector
• Proficiency in designing and implementing scalable, reliable and cost-effective solutions using cloud technologies (AWS preferred)
• Experience of cloud-first, serverless solution design is advantageous (Lambda, Step Function, Glue, Event Bridge, S3, RDS, EKS etc.. - or other cloud vendor equivalents)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to effectively collaborate with multiple technical and non-technical stakeholders
• A continuous learning and growth attitude
• Experience in Agile delivery methodology - ideally SAFe (Scaled Agile)
