For example, predicting service impacting incidents before they occur using network telemetry data, identifying jeopardy in delivery plans based on historical events, or personalising upsell opportunities by harnessing a 360-degree view of the customer, up to leveraging IoT to support big initiatives such as smart cities.You will work as a Solutions Architect as part of our Solution and Architectural Design Function.You will play a crucial role in designing and implementing robust, scalable, and maintainable data analytics solutions for our organisation. These solutions will provide brilliant customer experience and deliver against business needs, whilst driving a target architecture that simplifies our legacy estate.You\'ll Have The Following Responsibilities

• Work with a wide range of business stakeholders and cross functional teams to define robust, scalable and maintainable end to end solutions that consider systems, people, process, data and technologies, within a domain or across multiple domains
• Define solutions that are deliverable, are customer experience led, that meet the business needs, are secure, drive target architecture, are compliant with relevant industry and company policies and factor in all impacted technical and business areas
• Create and own technical solutions for a domain, cross domain or portfolio of work within a specific technology area and deliver work autonomously
• Partner with engineering teams (tribes and squads) to communicate and evolve solutions, as the teams build and learn, taking overall accountability for integrity of resultant solutions
• Lead on design assurance before integrating into end to end solutions
• Liaise with product owners/managers, CFU and customer stakeholders, ensuring business needs are met through assurance of the design
• Proactively identify initiatives to drive simplification, target architecture, improved customer experience, improved business agility and lower cost to serve. Actively contributes to architecture roadmaps and long term planning
• Identify opportunities to improve standards of practice, continuously enhancing ways of working
• Actively contribute to the definition of the overall solution framework for the respective domain aligned to the business strategy in this space, in collaboration with business stakeholders
• Support, guide and mentor others in the domain to develop and deliver no-defect solutions within architectural guardrails, focussed on convergence with the IT strategic architecture
• Interface and manage all senior stakeholders (business / enterprise architects) in the respective domain independently
• Apply specialist technical expertise to develop and advise approach on a range of complex, high impact and high risk customer solutions and define the architectural strategy for the respective domain
• Define and maintain the architectural roadmap for the respective domain
• Work with product owners/managers and colleagues across BT to ensure product deliveries are successful

Skills required for the role

• Certification in Data Vault 2.0 or related technologies
• Experience with tools such as Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, or similar data streaming platforms
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform services or AWS Platform Services with respect to Data and AI/ML
• Proficiency and experience with Erwin Data Modeller
• Experience or exposure to data catalogues such as Collibra and Abinitio would be highly beneficial
