This includes oversight and management of the Western Union Payments data analytics/business intelligence program.Role Responsibilities

• Develop and implement new software, maintain, and improve existing software with a focus on code optimization.
• Individual contributor, self-starter with ability to multi-task, prioritize, manage workload, and consistently deliver results.
• Recommend improvements and troubleshoot application issues. Coordinate issue resolution with operations, functional, and technical teams in a geographically distributed structure.
• Should be able to work on agile and Iterative development methodologies.
• Provide coaching to Junior Associates.

Role Requirements

• B.E. / B.Tech. / MCA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field is required.
• 7-12 years of software development experience, 5+ years of relevant experience in ETL, data warehouse, SQL, and data architecture.
• Strong communication skills with ability to interact with partners globally.
• Background in data modeling and data architecture for data analytics. Knowledge of logical and physical database architectures, operating systems, distributed computing, architecture design concepts, object-oriented design and techniques(desired)
• Extensive experience in Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) script development and tools (e.g. Talend)- (desired)
• Experience in SQL (procedural and declarative) development-(desired). Experience with Snowflake is preferred.
• Strong background in data warehouse schema design and dimensional data management (e.g. Star-Schema, Federated-Model, etc.)- (desired)
• Strong background in programming skills (like Java, python, shell scripting) - (desired)
• Background in Cloud engineering (like GCP, AWS, Azure)
• Good to have experience/knowledge in big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark etc), analytical business report development.
