Job Description
• Process owner - manufacturing support metals
• Ensure process capability in mechanical components fabrication
• Knowledge of CNC Setting, Part programming for 5 axis milling & Trouble Shooting - Turning & Milling
• Knowledge in Solidworks & MASTERCAM or equivalent
• Study product drawing & prepare model in Solidworks.
• Familiar with CNC Machining process, aluminium thin walled components
• Select job specific cutting tools and participate in process trials.
• Prepare CNC part program for machining - Manual programming & Mastercam
• Study product drawing and prepare Solid model from Autocad/ Solidworks drawing
• Knowledge in GD&T, Fits Tolerance & basic engineering calculations
• Transfer & evaluate part MASTERCAM programs in CNC machines.
• Assist selection of job specific cutting tools
• Continual improvement to reduce process cycle time
• Ensure process capability in all machining operations.
• Provide Documentation support to Process Engineering
• Participate in trials and support process Engineering.
• Maintain 5S in work location
