Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to oversee and manage solar EPC projects from initiation to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management within the renewable energy sector, specifically solar PV projects, and possess excellent organizational and leadership skills. The Project Manager will ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while meeting all regulatory and safety requirements.

Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution

• Plan and schedule 20 to 30 projects at a time, keeping in mind client expectations, site constraints & INC team's capabilities
• Oversee the execution of rooftop residential solar projects through a team of site supervisors, ensuring adherence to quality standards and project specifications.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and take proactive measures to mitigate them.

Team Management

• Manage a team of site supervisors, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
• Scout & onboard new INC teams. Provide requisite training, guidance & handholding on company processes & safety procedures.
• Coordinate work assignments, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, encouraging teamwork and effective communication.
• Identify the right trainings for the team members on a quarterly basis with the view of enhancing team skills and overall team productivity.

Budget Management

• Track project budgets as per project costing, ensuring that projects are completed within planned financial parameters.
• Monitor project expenses, review cost reports, and implement cost-control measures.
• Collaborate with the finance department to track project costs, invoices, and payments.

Collaboration with Departments:

• Liaise effectively with the design head to ensure site design documents are updated & available as per actual site conditions well before execution.
• Collaborate on procurement activities - vetting & validating BOMs, STAD/ GA Drawings, Electrical, participating in INC Team Biddings, ensuring high quality material & INC teams are chosen for large sites.
• Communicate project requirements & ensure material availability on site by coordinating with Purchase, Warehouse & Logistics departments.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree engineering, renewable energy, or a related field. A master's degree would be a plus. PMP certification would be a plus.
• Proven experience as a Solar Project Manager, specifically with rooftop projects.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• Solid understanding of solar energy systems, installation practices, and relevant regulations.
• Familiarity with budget management and cost-control techniques.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
• Proficiency & experience using project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
