Job Description

Atlan is actively seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Manual Tester to join our dynamic team.About the Role:

• Understanding Requirements: Reviewing and understanding software requirements and specifications to develop test plans.

• Test Case Design: Designing detailed test cases to verify the functionality of software applications.

• Test Execution: Executing test cases manually or using automated testing tools to validate software functionality.

• Regression Testing: Conducting regression testing to ensure that previously tested software features still perform correctly after changes or updates.

• Collaborating with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and resolution of issues.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze software requirements and specifications to develop comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Attention to Detail: Paying close attention to detail to identify defects or inconsistencies in software behavior.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot issues, isolate root causes, and propose effective solutions.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders.
• Technical Skills: A basic understanding of software development concepts and programming languages (e.g., Java, Javascript, Vue, Kotlin, etc.) may be beneficial for understanding application architecture (K8, clusters, cloud providers, data sources: SQL, ETL, BI, NoSQL, Saas, etc) and troubleshooting issues.
• Testing Tools: Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks, such as test management tools, bug tracking systems, and automated testing tools.
• Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet project deadlines.
• Domain Knowledge: Understanding of the domain or industry for which the software application is being developed can be beneficial for designing relevant test cases and identifying potential risks.
