:POSITION SUMMARY:The Software Quality Engineer Lead Manager will be responsible for leading the testing efforts with different software development teams. This role involves overseeing the design, development, and implementation of automated testing frameworks and strategies to ensure the highest quality of our software products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing, leadership, and project management for embedded products for networked HVAC instrumentation , controller ,IoT platforms and mobile application. • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of SQEs.
• Set performance goals, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide career development support.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.

Testing Strategy and Implementation:

• Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies, including automation frameworks, tools, and processes.
• Oversee the creation of detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Ensure thorough testing of new and existing features, including functional, regression, performance, and security testing.

Automation and Tools:

• Drive the adoption of automated testing and continuous integration practices.
• Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies to enhance the testing process.
• Ensure the development and maintenance of automated test scripts and frameworks.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with development, product management, and other management team to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to the management.
• Participate in sprint planning meetings, code reviews, and design/backlog discussions.

Quality Assurance:

• Define and track quality metrics in Jira.
• Drive continuous improvement in testing processes and methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS: Critical Success Factors:

• Passion for continuous improvement and Agile methodologies.
• Bias for action and ability to effectively prioritize and work with minimal supervision.
• Work around work blockages and multi-task to maximize results.
• Quality logging of results / reports with supporting data and descriptions

Required Skills/Experience:

• 8+ years of experience as an SQE or QA.
• Experience in a leadership or management role will be an added advantage.
• Experience in developing test cases using Gherkin language for automation test frameworks like Squish, selenium and test automation using scripting languages like Python and Linux shell scripting.
• Experience with Appium/Mobile App testing.
• Experience with configuration management tools like Bitbucket and git, Agile Project management tools like Jira, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
• Experience creating test cases and test data for TDD, BDD, and data driven testing.
• Experienced in using various Test Methodologies, Test Plans/Test Cases, Test Procedures, Test Strategies and Status Reports.
• Comfortable using lab instruments like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and protocol analyzers like Wireshark.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Skills on problem solving with analytical approach.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Desired Skills/Experience:

• Well versed in Linux OS and commands.
• Good understanding of networking protocols (TCP, HTTP, UDP) and networking equipment.
• Basic understanding of PID and control theory.
• Good understanding on IOT Communication protocols.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Education:

• Engineering Degree in Computer Science/Electronics/Electrical or related fields.
