At the same time, it offers flexibility you need to focus and do your best work.Mission and GoalIn this role as a Software QA Engineer, you will craft high-performance, cloud-hosted applications that seamlessly integrate cutting-edge backend and frontend technologies. This role will demand for designing secure APIs and robust web services and microservices will ensure smooth integration across diverse systems.ObjectivesDesign and execute test scenarios and test cases independently and with precisionDevelop robust automated tests to support high-availability, scalable applications for internal and external usersConduct test execution, log defects, and ensure accurate reportingCollaborate closely with scrum and external teams to resolve defects and retest effectivelyWork iteratively with scrum team members to refine functional requirements, determine testing and automation needs, and provide constructive feedback on functional and technical design solutionsIdentify, evaluate, and implement suitable open-source test frameworks and tools to enhance productivity and product qualityExhibit a strong sense of ownership by managing end-to-end delivery of modules or componentsFlexibility to work late hours or early mornings as required to collaborate with offshore teamsThrive in a fast-paced environment while consistently meeting deadlinesCompetencies3 to 6 years of relevant experience in software testing and developmentOver 3 years of experience in Performance testing : HP LoadRunner, Performance Center script creation, JMeter, execution, and troubleshooting.Over 3 years of experience with automation testing tools and frameworks, including a preference for Selenium, JUnit, and TestNGExpertise in object-oriented programming, primarily in JavaFamiliarity with testing and automating SOAP and REST services using tools such as ReadyAPI/Postman and REST-AssuredHands-on experience with continuous integration tools like Jenkins, TeamCity, Maven, and GitHubWorking experience in Cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, GCPProficiency in SQL databasesFamiliarity with Agile development processes and practicesExceptional communication skills, including strong verbal, written, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving abilitiesGen is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
