Were enabling our customers to usher in new services and applications that improve how people communicate with our innovative vertically integrated, open, modular solutions.Overview on the Role:We are seeking a skilled NMS (Network Management System) Test Engineer (
5 yrs exp.) with expertise in automation testing, particularly using Python/Selenium/Core Java. The ideal candidate will also possess a background in optics /networking related fields, enabling them to effectively test and validate NMS functionalities in optical networking environments.\'Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute automated test scripts using Python, Selenium, and Core Java to validate NMS functionalities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, QA, product management) to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Design, implement, and maintain test automation frameworks tailored to NMS applications.
  • Perform manual testing as needed and ensure the quality of software releases.
  • Analyze test results and provide detailed reports on the performance, stability, and compatibility of NMS features.
  • Troubleshoot issues, identify defects, and work closely with developers to resolve them.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies related to NMS and automation testing.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in computer science, E&TC Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience as a Test Engineer or QA Engineer focused on NMS or similar networking systems.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and Core Java, with proficiency in writing automated test scripts.
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium or similar automation tools for web-based applications.
  • Familiarity with optical networking concepts, protocols, and technologies (e.g., DWDM, optical transport networks) is highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, QA processes, and agile development practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Jenkins, Git).
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
  • Understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) and virtualization.
  • Certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) or related fields are a plus.
This position requires direct or indirect access to certain confidential information, hardware, software, technology, or technical information (referred to here as Export-Controlled Information) controlled under the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All personnel in this position must be eligible to or be able to obtain authorization from the appropriate agency to access applicable Export-Controlled Information. The U.S. Department of Commerce currently requires a foreign person with a most recent citizenship or permanent residency of Sudan, Ukraine, or a country currently designated in Country Group (Supplement No. 1 to Part 740, Title 15) to have an export control license to access our Export-Controlled Information, unless they meet certain exemptions provided under U.S. export control laws and regulations. The list of applicable countries in Country Group may be updated by the U.S. government from time to time. The current processing time for an export control license is approximately 4 to 6 months.Your employment or engagement with Infinera shall be contingent on verifying your eligibility or requirement for obtaining a necessary license and/or authorization from the appropriate agency. You will be required to provide certain information for export control compliance assessment purposes, and your information will be reviewed by Infinera's hiring and export control teams to ensure compliance with the U.S. export control laws and regulations.
