Job Description

We are looking for a Software Licensing Specialists (Remote for a US client) to join us as independent contractors. You will be responsible for managing and optimizing software licenses within an organization to ensure compliance, cost-efficiency, and adherence to legal requirements. This position play a crucial role in advising on software procurement, license negotiations, and maintaining an accurate inventory of software assets.Job Responsibilities:

• Assess compliance with licensing T&Cs for software publishers
• Read and interpret complex software licensing agreements for various vendors.
• Analyze software asset baseline data and apply licensing T&Cs and licensing metrics to identify cost optimization and compliance risks
• Apply software cost optimization strategies
• Use ServiceNow SAMPro tool to collect, analyze, and manage data
• Prepare Effective Licensing Position (ELP) reports and
• Support software audits by publishers or regulatory bodies

• Experience in Software Asset Management and ELPs (Effective Licensing Position)
• Experience using SAM tools (ServiceNow SAM Pro, Flexera, Snow)
• Knowledge of software licensing metrics and their role in Software Asset Management
• Knowledge of software discovery tools (ie. SCCM, MAP, ADDM) and inventory CMDB systems.
• Knowledge of hardware configuration and processor architecture
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure architecture (operating environment, virtualization, containers, cloud)
• Expertise on licensing T&Cs and software cost optimization strategies
