Title: Software Engineering Specialist

What You Will Do

As a software engineering specialist, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining web applications, APIs, and data pipelines for the Agriculture Water Solutions

Provide guidance to your team, assigning tasks and dealing with blockers to ensure continuous improvement of both the product and the skills of your team

Work with product team to transform requirements into detailed functional requirements

Design and develop new features for Web applications and data pipelines

Connect multiple applications in a Cloud-based environment

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

Significant experience with large-scale, distributed web application design and development

Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects

Proficiency in cloud-based platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

Web API development with Microsoft .NET platform ( C#, Entity Framework)

Experience with database management systems, such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL or MongoDB, data modeling, and schema design

Knowledge of geospatial data and backend data processing

Self-managed, self-starter able to work in a rapidly changing environment

Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all team members

What Skills & Experience You Could Bring

Direct experience with Vue or other Javascript-based Web UI frameworks

Experience with mapping libraries such as Leaflet, MapLibre, or Mapbox

Experience with data stream processing (Kafka, Flink, Beam, etc) and event-driven architectures

Proficiency with code Git repositories and CI/CD pipelines

Experience with containerized workloads: Docker or Kubernetes

Experience with unit test patterns and practices

Overall experience required - 8+ years

About Trimble Agriculture

The Agriculture division builds precision farming systems, including displays and automated guidance systems for agricultural vehicles. Farmers use our guidance systems to automatically steer their tractors with highly accurate GPS/GNSS-based control. Our display systems automatically control farm implements performing operations like planting seeds, spraying fertilizer, and measuring crop yield in an optimal way based on soil conditions and agronomist prescriptions. Our displays send the farm data to our web-based farm and fleet management system Trimble Agriculture business software. We save water, fuel, chemicals, and time and increase crop yields along the way.
