If you think the open position, you see is right for you, we encourage you to apply!This role has responsibility to lead the delivery of engineering solutions on the Communication Platform collaborating with technical product owners, business product owners, other engineering teams, solution architecture, vendors, infrastructure, CIP, release management, and other partners. This role will be involved in all phases of the project lifecycle, from project inception and the development of an approach through testing, implementation, and post implementation support.In addition in this role you will act as an advisor to the Software Engineering Senior Manager, project managers, contributors to requirements, overseers of design, software engineering practice leader, and responds to issues arising from testing and production support. Often, this role serves as a representative of the project and its solution to various stakeholders, business partners, and senior leadership.Responsibilities:

• Integral from decomposition to delivery and throughout the product lifetime and responsible for driving software engineering best practices in the delivery of those solutions.
• Resolves questions, issues, and concerns regarding engineering solutions and delivery to ensure the solution is understood and can be carried-out by the teams who must deliver it.
• Builds solutions that take into account the guidelines, constraints, and overall strategic direction set by Enterprise Architecture, Security (CIP), and Infrastructure planning (IT Ops).
• Understands when and how to engage teams, to collaborate with the teams in order to formulate a solution, and - when needed - to undergo the various review processes imposed by those teams.
• Contributes to the project planning process, advising project managers regarding scoping issues, risks to plan, and general plan structure.
• Advises business partners regarding solution options, often helping to shape scope in the process.
• Utilizes professional growth of knowledge across both technical and operational domains to drive towards efficient, simple solutions answering to complex business needs.
• Participating in software/hardware configuration, releases and installation tasks
• Participate in technical planning and requirements gathering phases including Design, code, test, troubleshoot and document engineering software applications.
• Provide leadership in solution design and delivery across multiple delivery teams and stakeholders.
• Use strong technical and domain knowledge, combined with strong communication skills, to deliver innovative and robust solutions.
• Demonstrating the ability to adapt and work with team members of various experience level.
• Working in an AGILEenvironment with bi-weekly sprints and provided work updates in daily SCRUM calls, maintaining industry level best practices for software development using wide varieties of latest technologies and frameworks.

QualificationsRequired Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Engineering related field or equivalent work experience
• At least 10+ years relevant experience
• Strong experience in Software Engineering practice
• Experience and strong skills in Java, Spring Boot, Openshift, Oracle, Mongo, and Kafka
• Experience in cloud platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to define and champion innovative design solutions and drive delivery
• Proven organizational skills with the ability to develop a detailed work plan to ensure project success
• Demonstrated problem solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve issues
• Ability to handle multiple priorities
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong requirements elicitation and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to explain technical concepts in crisp, clear, and plain terms for both technical and non-technical audiences, at all levels, through written and spoken communications
• Proven ability to design systems integration approaches, new software applications, interfaces, and services as well as enhancements to existing components comprising an overall IT solution. Broad, applied experience with common computing platforms, legacy and modern development tools and languages, database management systems, and enterprise application integration (middleware) technologies
• Results-oriented and diligent with a sense of urgency

• Capability of leading small teams of Software Engineers within multiple projects, acting as a Communication Platform team technical leader and point-of-contact to the project team.

Location & Hours of Work:Full-time position, working 40 hours per week.
