of Cignas Enterprise Operations. As a center of excellence for best practices in Data
Engineering, Web Application Development, Data Science, Advanced Analytics, and Business
Intelligence, the team brings together data from customer contact centers, client benefit
design / install, provider solutions / network operations, print / digital communications, and beyond
in novel ways to provide actionable insights to business partners ranging from front-line Prior
Authorization Representatives and Patient Care Advocates to Senior Leadership. By turning
data into information, and information into insight, we passionately strive to make the
operational services provided by Cigna / Evernorth to customers, clients, and providers the
safest, most efficient, most convenient, and most trusted in the world.
The Software Engineering Senior Advisor will provide counsel and advice to top management
on significant engineering matters. They will be responsible for helping plan, develop, and
deploy the future of data storage and analysis in support for Cignas Enterprise Operations.
From big data to small, batch to streaming, on-prem to cloud, discover insights from millions of
patient touchpoints across a wide range of operational systems. This individual will lead or
manage highly complex projects. They will be responsible for partnering with key players in
Customer Service, Client Service, Provider Service, and Workforce Planning, while drawing on
support from Technology, Finance, Strategy, Operational Readiness, and Solutions Delivery. & Responsibilities :

• Responsible for design, development, deployment, and maintenance of Data
• Strategy / Warehousing solutions related to Cignas Enterprise Operations.
• Collaborate with data analysts and data scientists to understand requirements and translate

them into technical solutions. * Utilize Oracle and SQL to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into ourdata lake and data warehouse. * Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Python ensuring scalability, reliability,and performance. * Design and develop data pipeline architectures using Spark and related AWS Services.Develop and optimize data processing workflows using Databricks, ensuring efficient
execution and resource utilization. * Design and implement data quality checks and monitoring mechanisms to ensure theintegrity and accuracy of our data. * Work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve production issues in atimely manner. * Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering andcontribute to continuous improvement efforts. * Lead and / or mentor a small team of data engineers.

• Identifies opportunities and implements improvements to team platforms, processes, and

tools to enhance team effectiveness.Experience Required:

• 10+ years of relevant software engineering experiences

Experience Desired:

• A proven track-record of analytical / technical / data-oriented skill development.
• Experience with Relational Database Development Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server,
• PostgreSQL or equivalent required.
• Experience with data modeling, ETL design, and performance tuning.
• Good understanding of SQL Engine and able to conduct advanced performance tuning.
• Experience with Git and pull request workflow.
• Experience with Agile Methodology (sprints, kanban, backlogs, demos, retros) a plus.

Education and Training Required:Primary Skills:

• Hands on experience in Databricks, Spark, and Hadoop or equivalent required.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services, particularly in data storage, processing, and

analytics.Additional Skills:

• A proven track-record of continuous learning, tech modernization, and scalability

improvements in prior projects. * Able to effectively coordinate with essential IT partners to bring relevant experts to the tableto deliver meaningful improvements. * A proven track-record of improving processes to use time, storage, and processing stronglypreferred more efficiently. * Able to develop and draw upon subject matter expertise in discussions with team memberand business customers. * Able to prioritize across a wide array or projects and effectively communicate prioritizationdecisions to relevant stakeholders. * Able to effectively manage to agreed-upon deliverable dates.

• Detail-oriented in delivery of platform enhancements, analytic products, and stability

measures. * Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Experience in Healthcare, Pharmacy, Contact Center operations a plus.
