Commercial and Corporate & Investment Banking Technology (CCIBT) enables the businesses and partners with stakeholders across the company on enabling business transformation through disruptive innovation technologies such as artificial intelligence/machine learning, quantum computing and block chain. Wholesale Banking helps small, mid-sized, and large commercial and corporate companies succeed financially through businesses that include Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, Corporate and Investment Banking, Investment Portfolio, and Wells Fargo Commercial Capital.



About the Role

As part of Wells Fargo Technology team, this is a management position responsible for managing a team of highly skilled technologists towards change the bank (BA, Dev, Testing) efforts for applications in Coverage Tech at WFIP. The incumbent will be a technical expert playing the lead role for change the bank responsibility for transformational programs towards building products.
• This is a hands-on management position primarily responsible for the application development, maintenance and project delivery for a portfolio of applications within Wholesale Customer Information Services Technology. The role encompasses technical/ functional expertise, people management and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities:

+ Understand product / application and contribute to roadmap / strategy for transformation.
• Write functional documents and design technical specifications.

Design and/or redesign existing complex computer platforms and applications.
• Accountable for the overall delivery for a product / application team.
• Provide coding direction and guidance on complex calculations and details of complex products with less experienced staff.


Maintain full project life-cycle tasks, such as business and technical analysis, designing, coding, testing, and implementation plans.
• Maintain all system diagrams, system interface charts and any other compliance policy and procedure documents.
• Coordinate implementation activities across a broad range of functions and departments; work with client groups to identify, arrange, and/or deliver training needs.
• Mentor and train other members of the team.
• Worked in the previous role on development, automation (Unit Test and Regression suite) in Agile Scrum Methodology. Good knowledge / management of Java/React based applications/team will be added advantage.
• Be a trusted strategic partner for WFT teams
• Manages strategic relationships with local vendors for running the business
• Plan and manage skill portfolio of staff in view of future needs

Facilitate ideas and projects in accordance with agreed priorities

Undertake management of cross-departmental projects, collaborating with other groups to achieve WF and WFIP wide objectives.
• Meet talent needs for the group including flexible and full time ones for technology delivery
• Responsible for creating opportunities for team members growth

Accountable for expectations setting (goal settings) for the team members in line with the larger LoB and WFIP goals (functional - technical/domain and behavioral)
• Responsible to mentor team members and provide avenues to meet the team members aspirations
• Works closely with the HR Partners on various talent items covering the entire talent landscape (include but not limited to the below):

+ Provide timely feedback and manage overall performance of the team members and ensure to build and sustain high performance work culture
+ Accountable for the overall engagement of the work group and manage attrition

Essential Qualifications

+ Bachelors in Engineering or equivalent and must have 15+ Years of overall experience and proven record of leading and managing a minimum team of 15+ Technology Team members
+ Well verse in developing applications leveraging Microsoft .NET Full Stack, Web Services, Design Patterns & Cloud Platform enablement with engineering focus.
+ Proficient in delivery and manage multi-release projects in AGILE (Scrum, Scaled Agile) and Waterfall methodologies
+ Functional Skills in onboarding systems, and hands-on in integrations with integrated systems.
+ Testing - Unit, SIT and Support for UAT testing. Test Automation using Selenium, Junit.
+ Experience provide effort estimates, identify resource needs, and enforces project and delivery standards
+ Experience with providing accurate project plans, schedules, and ensure efficient allocation of resources
+ Should possess Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively across organizational lines and with virtual team members.
+ Ability to deal with ambiguities effectively
+ Manage team with focus on enhancing their technical/ domain skillsets.
+ Experience with Working in a matrix environment and build good working relationships with multiple stakeholders including onsite Technology partners.
+ Ability to motivate staff to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
+ Strong demonstrated people development skills to hire, coach, develop, and mentor team members.
+ Proven expertise on building a culture of continuous improvement within team and put together metrics to measure the impact of their efforts

Experience with Cloud based development

Experience with SONAR and Fortify

Experience with Clean Coding concepts

Working knowledge of Agile tools like Jira, Confluence
