This Squad structure provides more connectivity among team members and allows us to deliver faster as all resources work as one group on dedicated tasks.About the RoleAs a Software Engineering Lead, you will play a crucial role in overseeing software development within your specific area of responsibility. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, from technical problem-solving to team management.ResponsibilitiesInitial Point of Contact:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for software development issues within your designated area.
• Respond to audit inquiries, production incidents, impact analyses, and resolve dependencies related to non-sprint tasks.

Requirements and Solution Design:

• Collaborate with technical team members to finalize requirements.
• Participate in requirements gathering, estimation, and planning.
• Incorporate security and technical debt estimation into project plans.
• Own the solution design phase, liaising with architects and following secure software development life cycle (SSDLC) practices.
• Translate moderately complex product requirements into detailed solution designs, including spikes, proof of concepts (POCs), design documents, and diagrams.

Technical Excellence:

• Implement development processes and coding best practices across the team.
• Create checklists and ensure compliance with secure coding practices.
• Review Checkmarx and Black Duck reports.
• Resolve technical issues as needed and work with complex data models.

Team Collaboration:

• Collaborate closely with other development team members.
• Mentor and train entry-level software engineers.
• Engage with new team members during onboarding and initial troubleshooting.
• Foster productivity and guide their growth.

Tech Awareness:

• Stay up-to-date with the latest technology developments.
• Utilize self-learning, training programs, and mentorship.
• Participate in portfolio chapters to drive improvements.
• Advocate for tech stack enhancements within the team.

Management Responsibilities:

• Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
• Conduct hiring, interviews, and performance appraisals.
• Oversee Squad 1, including productivity, task planning, and operational excellence.
• Provide training and resources to maximize staff performance.
• Facilitate change by identifying improvement opportunities.
• Offer frequent feedback and coaching to exceed expectations.
• Collaborate with direct reports on performance plans, career paths, and succession planning.
• Encourage innovation and empower staff to take ownership.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Additional Duties:

• Handle other responsibilities as assigned.
• Align with LNRS processes, track and manage technical debt, and plan for its reduction.

Requirement

• 10+ years of prior experience as a developer on java, J2EE and webservices projects, not including training and education projects
• Minimum 3 years of experience in leading teams of size 6 and above.
• Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science or Related Major, or equivalent experience
• Good handle on concepts of cyber security, cloud technologies and agile methodology
• Experience with Spring Boot, Micro Services, Hibernate, JPA, Angular, Lucene, jQuery frameworks
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and Graph QL.
• Experience working with Relational and Non-relational databases.
• Nice to have \xe2\x80\x93 Experience working with more than 1 large projects to get a good view of architecture concepts and pitfalls.
