Position Summary:The Software Engineering Advisor will be an integral part of a talented technology team responsible for the design, build, test and deliver services and bigdata applications. The ideal candidate should be a well-rounded, self-starter, hands-on software engineer that works best in a collaborative, dynamic, agile environment and have a passion for solving complex problems. Play a technical role in an area responsible for building and providing direction for enterprise services, and contribute to a technical infrastructure that leverages Cignas Cloud, API and Services Oriented Architecture (SOA)strategy and Data Integration capabilities. & Responsibilities:

• Participate in the design, construction, testing and implementation of distributed applications and microservices.
• Provide support for defect resolution and triage
• Participate in proof of concepts for software tools/technologies related to application or process development.
• Provide support on CI/CD pipelines and automation where necessary
• Ultimately responsible for building and maintaining solutions conformant to enterprise standards, architecture and technologies.

• Overall 8 9 years post education experience
• Minimum of 6+ years of solid hands-on experience building and delivering secure RESTful APIs or SOAP services using Java
• Experience working with RDBMS / SQL

• RESTful APIs using Springboot and Java
• Knowledge about types of data structures in java and when to use them (arrays, lists, hashmap, set)
• Memory management and garbage collection concepts
• Concept of multi-threading / parallel execution and appropriate use cases
• Testing and quality of code Different types of testing to ensure application quality.
• Consuming other RESTful APIs
• Experience with SQL
• Knowledge of CI/CD process
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies at a rapid pace

• Docker / Kubernetes
• RESTful API security
• Detailed knowledge of CI/CD process and stages
• SOAP/XML and WebServices
• Apache Camel and Enterprise Integration Patterns

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent
